We had a fantastic stay at this gorgeous Airbnb! The place was exactly as described and was particularly dog-friendly. The location was quiet and peaceful, with lots to do only short drives away- the local recommendations from Caroline were extremely helpful as well! Caroline was friendly, helpful and responsive, and resolved a minor issue we had quickly and effectively. Will definitely be recommending this place to others, and hope to be back again! Thanks for a fantastic stay:)

A great base for exploring the local area. The barn is beautifully renovated to a high standard, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Many thanks!

A gorgeous and modern property exactly as Caroline described. The instructions and guide given to us was wholly accurate and clear. Caroline was friendly and responsive to messages, but we never had any problems during our stay. Very comfy beds and lovely showers, kept to a very high standard and cleanliness. A lovely touch leaving guests a bottle of bubbles and local biscuits. The recommendations given were also bang on. Would definitely recommend and return. Thank you so much Caroline

Had brilliant communication throughout booking and at the start of the stay. Everything was in perfect condition and spotlessly clean. Really easy to find and instructions were clear. Rooms set up as per our request and stay was totally peaceful despite the working farm opposite which really doesn’t disturb at all. Useful recommendations in the info pack for pubs etc (which I tried). My boys loved it - helped by the super fast WiFi - and they want to go back again 👍🏻

House is truly fab, had everything we needed and beyond. Lovely beds, linen etc. House was spotless! Loved the lighting and comfort overall. Despite the weather, we went to lots of local sights, Heligan, Eden, Mevagissey. Enjoyed Tea Cup Tearooms for fab Cornish Cream Tea. Edies Restaurant (5*) and Polgooth Inn super. Hangover Escape Room at Duke of Cornwall was great fun too! Don't want to go home! We'll be back

Despite the terrible weather we had a lovely stay at Caroline’s barn conversion. Lived up to our high expectations. Plenty of space for all the family and dogs. Thank you for letting us stay along with the little one and the doggies. We would love to come back at some point.

We stayed at the Milking Parlour as a family of 5 people plus an indoor cat over Christmas and new year and could not fault it. The weather was very wet and windy during our stay (except one dry and sunny day!) so we stayed indoors for much of it and very soon we realised how fortunate we were staying there, and booking this place over other cheaper alternatives. We all loved everything from the thoughtful amenities to the welcome gifts left by Caroline. The open plan layout of the living, dining and kitchen worked really well for us and we did not feel on top of each other. One thing that I normally get outwitted by is figuring out how to work a new heating system. I had no such problem here as every room was already preset to a perfect temperature and the every room remained the same temperature night and day. The wood burner was great for enhancing the temperature during cold afternoons and evenings and made the place very cosy. I can't wait to book The Milking Parlour again.

Our wedding was utterly magical. Our plan is absolutely to return at some point, we adored the Milking Parlour … it is such a stunning place to stay and we cannot thank you enough! Our wedding photographer was particularly complimentary about the lighting (both natural and the ones you had put in.)

Wonderful stay here at The Milking Parlour! Lovely home and everything you need for your stay! Cornwall is a fabulous place to visit. Very cosy and comfortable and easy access to visit different places. The dogs loved all the garden space. Thank you for the complementary gifts left upon arrival. We will certainly be back. We had the most fabulous stay. Visited most of the beaches, ate A LOT of fish and chips and enjoyed our very comfortable home here at The Milking Parlour. Fab base for us all to be comfortable, a true home from home feel. Thank you so much Caroline for all your top tips. You're a star.

(Translated) It was fantastic! Caroline's converted barn is fantastic. You always want to stay here. Everything is very well equipped, almost us at home. As a welcome, there was a delicious sparkling wine. The beds are mega comfortable. And the lighting and high ceilings are beautiful. There was also a fall-out protection for our son. We never used the upper lawn area. At the lower terrace nice to continue the great stylish amenities from the inside. That means you'd rather sit inside than the outside. Overall, it's a dream that justifies the price. THANK YOU.

Another fabulous stay in the Milking Parlour. Lots of local trips undertaken and swims off Hemmick and Porthpean beaches. We chilled in the evenings and blitzed four series of 'Shetland'. The weather was hot and sunny every day - Just perfect!

A fabulous location - great places to visit - particularly fond of The Lost Gardens ... not quite so fond on the drive to Hemmick but always worth it in the end :-) Clare
Thank you for a really comfortable few days - the weather was fantastic and it all seemed to go to plan. Cornwall at its best. Thank you, Margaret

Beautiful accommodation and wonderfully equipped.
We enjoyed plenty of local towns and highly recommend - hiring a boat in Fowey, renting a bike on the Pentewan cycle hire, Charlestown for food and drinks in the afternoon, Heligan Gardens and Eden Project for full days activity.
Thank you so much for having us.

We have had the BEST time here on our Easter holiday. Despite a few wet days, we have explored the stunning area on foot and in the car. We've enjoyed meeting 'the girls' at the farm and Reid has been great fun for the children. We will be back!
We rode cows and it's been great here! Reid was great!! I would love to come back here! Love Mia. This has been amazing!

Humans and dogs have had the most wonderful time at The Milking Parlour. So many beautiful places to explore, our favourites were Fowey (everyone must visit Mardy Bakery for the best cake ever), Pentewan Sands, Mevagissey harbour ('She Sells' do fab coffee) and a day trip to Padstow and the north coast beaches. We cooked a lovely meal with produce from Lobbs Farm Shop and even ordered a Chinese takeaway one night from Fortune House who delivered. We ate out at The Polgooth Inn which was great, and The Hewas Inn. We'd go back for drinks as people are lovely but food wasn't great. Thank you Caroline for a perfect trip. (P.s. marmalade from the farm is THE BEST!

We have just finished the most wonderful week at The Milking Parlour. The house is absolutely beautiful, so well equipped and super comfy beds. The kitchen is great too, everything on (& more!) that you could possibly need for cooking. Amazingly comfy sofa’s to snuggle into at the end of the long day after being out & about. Brilliant internet connection too, my husband was able to work from the house on video calls all day.
The house is also amazingly located for beautiful beaches - our favourites were Porthluney Cove & Pentewan Sands. So many amazing day trips that are very easily accessible from the house.
Caroline is a wonderful host - no question is a problem and she absolutely meets all requests / needs. She is also a font of knowledge for tips about the local area!
We are already looking forward to returning!

The milking parlour has everything you need for a visit to Cornwall. It has all mod cons and all facilities are first close.
There is so much to see and do in the local area including amazing beaches very close by.
Cornwall never disappoints with everything seemingly only an hour away ( maximum).
So many quays / harbours to explore but Padstow and Fowey amongst my favourites.
I certainly intend to visit again and enjoy a tranquil break in the middle of everything which Cornwall has to offer.

If you are a person who loves the countryside and want to wake up to the smells and sounds of cattle, then The Milking Parlour is the right choice for you. We were 3 couples with kids and the property is quite spacious and comfortable. You have everything you need for kids eg: a travel cot, a high chair etc so that was an added benefit. We purposely avoided busy beaches and explored less crowded beaches nearby. We recommend Vault beach for its clear waters and jellyfishes. There is a bit of trek but we carried two kids(5 & 8 months old) with us so it's not that bad. Caroline(Host) was quite reachable, prompt, and went over and beyond in addressing minor issues we encountered when we checked in. She even offered an extra complimentary night at the end of our stay but unfortunately, we had to check out because of commitments. We highly recommend this place :)

What a lovely and comfortable place to stay! You can tell a lot of care and thought have gone into the rental and, unlike some other places we’ve stayed, it had everything we needed, including a comfy cot and sturdy high chair for our toddler. It also had high quality furnishings and all the equipment and space we needed to cook and eat family meals. The location is ideal as it is situated in the countryside but very close to Heligan and some lovely beaches and coastal towns. There are a few close neighbours but they were quiet and unobtrusive. The only noises we heard were the cows on the surrounding farm, which our son loved seeing. We would be pleased to stay again.

Really lovely accommodation in a great location to explore! The house is very modern, whilst also having the barn touches of high ceilings and exposed beams. There was enough room for everyone, and open plan living area was really great. Very good WIFI too which was ideal as there isn't any phone signal. There were lots of lovely little towns and beaches all within a short drive, and the honesty box at the top of the road proved a hit with the fresh eggs and jam! Caroline was a great host with detailed information, and recommendations for the local area.

Wonderful barn conversion done to a high specification. Everything just feels quality and solid, no expense spared in the build quality. Kitchen, bathrooms and in fact all rooms, have everything you need, so you can leave your head at the door knowing its all well stocked up. The area is remote, so it is quiet and peaceful, I got a really good nights sleep. Gardens of Heligan under 10 minute drive away as is Charlestown, a really pretty harbour town with great pubs and restaurants. Echoing what others have said, possibly the best dog friendly place I’ve ever stayed, especially given our Shiba is a right little escape artist. Was totally happy leaving him to explore knowing he’d never get out. Last thing is the ongoing pasty debate. We had a large steak pasty from Mary’s in Mevagissey and it was hands down the best thing I’d eaten in a long time. Perfection! Caroline was super helpful with everything, from helping with towel rail instructions to sending the housekeeper to sort a plug in the shower, could not have asked for more. Really top notch experience!

We had the most wonderful stay. Clean, organised, spacious, could not fault the accommodation. Loved the farm location, so fun for my daughter to see the farm animals but just a 20 minute drive to numerous picturesque beaches. Caroline went out of her way to accommodate us and make sure we had a wonderful time and it was very appreciated. We hope to stay again!

Had a brilliant stay at the Milking Parlour over Easter. The barn was wonderfully spacious (for a family of 4 and a dog) and cosy and is just as depicted in the pictures. Lovely location on the south Cornwall coast, with lots of hedgerows and small villages surrounding. Caroline was a most thoughtful host, very communicative and quick to respond to any queries. She has some fantastic recommendations about what to do in the local area, as does the guest book so do have a quick read when you arrive. Overall, highly recommend and we hope to return one day. Should also add, best outdoor space for a four-legged member of the family that we have come across at an air bnb!

A relaxing and much needed break exploring the South Coast of Cornwall. The barn was lovely, spacious and so well thought out.
Some amazing finds / recommendations include The Longstore in Charlestown, The Polgooth Inn (so close by!), the Lost Gardens of Heligan (def better than the Eden project!) and if you find yourself in Falmouth on a Sunday, the roasts at the Star and Garter are second to none. Also the Cornish food store attached to the Waitrose in Truro had amazing food, crockery, linens etc.

Gorgeous house! We stayed as part of our minimoon and friends joined for new year and the house was just fabulous! Lovely and warm to come back to from the chilly beach! Location was brilliant and we were able to get to a few different beaches in less than 20 mins! Can imagine it’s fabulous in summer with the outdoor areas! Would highly recommend and an extremely helpful and lovely host!

Wonderful to be back; after 6 weeks it hardly felt like we had left! Return trip to Heligan for their Halloween events but this time we went to St Ives, Mawgan Porth, Wheal Martyn (to the China clay museum which was brilliant) and had afternoon tea at the Duchy of Cornwall Nursery near Lostwithiel. All fabulous and another ***** meal at the Barley Sheaf Gorran.

The instructions were perfect, honesty box at top of hill, lots of cows opposite and the smells that go with it and a little calf which was very cute. Very roomy to do big dinners or breakfasts together etc, or puzzles. Showers lovely. Kitchen had everything you needed. We just played games, did puzzles in evening. Lovely location, lovely and quiet, dogs didn’t woof at all in night. Fabulous few days away, WiFi calling only, good WiFi signal though. Polgooth great food and ate in Charlestown only 10 mins away which we loved as beautiful. Mevagissey and Fowey. Lost gardens of Heligan was stunning too. You need 2 days to do it all they say and can see that. Perfect area and beautiful house.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Milking Parlour. The set up was comfortable and well equipped. Comfy beds and sofa and a garden front and back. You are near a milking barn with cows coming in to be milked daily, so they do bring with them country smells and moo noises - all very authentic and a joy to watch if you are home in time to see them coming along the lane. The location is great - close to lots of lovely spots and things to do. We will be back if Caroline will have us : )

Enjoyed a relaxing week and found lovely walks on Par beach. The silence is lovely, there are some cattle noises and the occasional cockerel. A very peaceful place for a week, near to both the Lost gardens of Heligan and the Eden project. Very comfortable for families or sharing with friends as we did. Spotlessly clean and well maintained. The property was everything we hoped and loved the peace and quiet. Would love to come again.

A stylish, spacious yet cosy barn in a great, quiet location. Caroline sent us lots of information prior to our visit which proved very helpful. There are a lot of places to visit all within a few miles, Pentewan beach being a firm favourite! The Lost Gardens of Heligan are only a couple of miles away. We loved the honest box at the top of the road - fresh eggs, marmalade and blackberry and apple jam were all a huge hit! Lovely property and location, really comfortable. Visited local attractions and beaches. Relaxing few days escaping from the doom and gloom!

The Milking Parlour is a fantastic place to get away from it all and really re-connect with the countryside around us. From the friendly farmer across the lane to the honesty for fresh eggs and homemade marmalade from the neighbouring farm, we had a brilliant stay. There was just three of us, but the place would really come alive for larger groups and we’ll definitely return with friends post-Covid.

Had an amazing stay at this barn I feel like the pictures don't do it justice and was so impressed when we turned up. It was spotless and had everything with needed. A stunning property. We needed a property that was pretty much on one level as travelling with less mobile relatives and this worked really well. We always came back in the afternoons for a sit down in the sun trap at the back courtyard. The farmer opposite always greeted us with a smile and a wave. At the top of the lane the honesty box with jams/marmalade’s and eggs were a very much welcome addition to breakfast. Oh and if you are travelling with a four legged friend the garden is probably one of the most dog secure gardens we have stayed at. Caroline was great with the communication a great host.

We had a lovely stay over Christmas 2019. THe Mikling Parlour was both stylishly and comfortably furnished and worked really well for our party of 5 plus 2 dogs. The log burner and multitude of lighting options made it feel really cosy on our return from chilly, windy walks with the dogs.
The location was rural and really felt like we were off the beaten track but at the same time was hardly any distance from St Austell ior Supermarkets,, and also well placed for getting to out and about for walks, beaches etc.
Caroline was super helpful, with suggestions of things to do and places to go, the Lost Gardens of Helligan light trail was a big hit with all of us, despite the rain.
Thank you Caroline, everything was perfect from the welcome pack to the Christmas Tree which made it all feel very festive.

We enjoyed our week at The Milking Parlour with plenty of places to visit on the doorstep. Although the weather was mixed, trips to Truro food festival, Charlestown, Mevagissey, St Mawes, and a perfect day at The Lost Gardens of Heligan were thoroughly enjoyed. The friendly farmer across the road showed us his Milking Parlour for the 80 cow herd. We had a nice chat.

The Milking Parlour is a beautiful 'home from home'. Enormous thought has been put into providing a lots of comfort and pretty much everything you could need (all great quality too). There is literally nothing that didn't exceed our expectations (and I'm quite fussy!), so thank you Caroline for all your thought and hard work into making special holidays. Caroline was a great host who was very quick to respond and really kind and helpful when I had to make a little change to our plans and take my poorly dog with us (she even gave me lots of vets details 'just in case'). You can be assured of a lovely holiday at The Milking Parlour, safe in the knowledge that if there's anything you need, Caroline will be quick to respond. We highly recommend this beautiful place and hope to return. Thank you :)

Thank you Cornwall, we have well and truly explored you! Despite the weather we have had a fabulous time and it was always lovely coming home after a long day to The Milking Parlour. What a beautiful house. Our top 3 would be: 1) Kynance Cove; 2) Port Isaac; 3) Heligan. Thanks Caroline!

Wow! What a beautiful and peaceful place! We loved sitting out in the garden for breakfast. The house is well equipped and made for a very comfortable break. Caroline is a fantastic host too - great communication and lots of helpful advice about what to do with our 4 year old. The Lost Gardens of Heligan were fantastic. We will be back! :)

What a find! This place is just stunning - the photos don’t do it justice! It's been designed to such a high standard with everything you could need. The area is so quiet and peaceful - just the birds chirping and the cows mooing from the barn across the road. We’ve all had such a lovely time away - even though we don't live that far away it felt like we were somewhere totally different. Caroline was such a lovely host and kept me well up to date as necessary. 10000% recommend a stay here!

Amazing cosy accommodation, immaculate in every way, great location, not far from anywhere. Had a wonderful time! Everything and more was available for us, lovely Welcome card with a bottle of Prosecco, tea, coffee, a lovely pack of Cornish biscuits, milk in the fridge, plus more - a great start, very thoughtful host. Everything had been very carefully thought of to make our visit, with nothing missing, even down to the iron and board. Thank you Caroline for making it so perfect!

Would highly recommend staying at the Milking Parlour. Caroline is a great host and very responsive. The place is as described, a nice quiet location with great facilities and in a great base to explore the local area,. The barn was professionally cleaned with all the amenities. Took my parents there for the weekend over Easter and we had a fantastic time. We loved the honesty box with fresh farm eggs and jams! We loved the fishing village at Mevagissey for dinner and drinks. We were very lucky with the weather so could explore different parts of Cornwall. A lovely stay. Hope to stay again soon!

A excellent stay in this beautiful cottage. We made friends with Gerald (the farmer at the top of the lane) and explored the farm and met the animals (and tasted his lovely eggs, jam and marmalade). The Skywire at the Eden Project was a particular highlight for our teenagers as well as tasting many pasties from different coastal destinations. A terrific few days and hoping to return soon! :-)

The Milking Parlour’s a fantastic base for your trip to Cornwall. On top of being a lovely place to stay, the barn was clean, well equipped and in a pretty rural setting. Caroline was a fantastic host, and was in touch throughout the trip to offer local tips/ advice where needed. We really appreciated the added touches (biscuits on arrival). Would thoroughly recommend and would really like to come back :)

I've just come back from my stay at the Milking Parlour & this place is just beautiful. It's equipped with everything you need & very high spec. It's set in rural countryside & the farmer over the road is very friendly & another at the top of the lane sells home made marmalade. Local sight seeing is only a short drive in the car & the local beaches are breathtaking. Most beaches, pubs and attractions are dog friendly which is also a bonus. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are brilliant and less than 5 minutes away. The Eden Project is well worth a visit & Padstow & Port Isaac are only 40 minutes away with plenty to do & see at both locations. Mevagissey village has a great fish & chip shop & loved the Port in Charlestown. We went to Porthluny beach (amazing) at Caerhays Castle, drove to the King Harry ferry (very quaint - takes only minutes!) and stopped at Trelissick gardens for a lovely walk. Cant wait to go back!

The Milking Parlour was the perfect family getaway. A beautiful, but cosy home from home. Everything was provided and Caroline was an excellent host. Great location for the Eden Project, local beaches and harbours and lovely pubs and restaurants a short drive away. The home was well suited for people with mobility issues and the dog loved it too! We didn’t want to leave and would love to return in the summer.'

Lovely place to stay, local to everything but far out enough for peace and quiet. Friendly farmers on the 2 farms down the lane. Local pub was excellent and would definitely recommend it. Just 30 mins from Padstow which we loved. Local beaches are amazing. Cannot fault this holiday home. Will be back again soon.

We loved our short stay at The Milking Parlour. It was beautifully appointed and so comfortable and we like open plan living, especially on holiday. The furnishings were stylish and good quality. We cooked a tasty roast the the range oven! The barn gave the perfect combination of being rural yet within easy reach of some lovely beaches and tourist spots including the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Mevagissey and Charlestown harbours plus lots more. Whilst our stay was short this time, we hope to return for our main holiday in the summer. I can picture myself sitting in the egg chair in the garden and reading a book or having a glass of something in the courtyard and watching the cows in the distance! Hope to be back.

The Milking Parlour looks fantastic in the photos but it's even better in real life! It was spotless, cosy and equipped with just about everything I think anyone could possibly need to enjoy a stay in what is a beautiful property. The barn is tastefully furnished to a really high standard and the bed was soooo comfortable! It was hard to actually leave the property to go out and explore the local area, as we could easily have just stayed indoors and relaxed. However, having a dog with us made us venture out and it's in a great location for lovely walks. Our dog was also spoilt with a hot and cold outdoor tap and shower! The barn is such a peaceful place and yet well located for the surrounding areas. Will most definitely be returning!!

We can not recommend The Milking Parlour enough! Fabulous wow factor barn with all the amenities you could ever need for a fantastic time in Cornwall. Beautiful scenery, quiet spot but near to lots of great attractions too. Caroline is the sweetest host, always on hand at the end of the phone if you need her with information on great days out and information to make your stay perfect! We could only stay a few days and were sad to be leaving! We will be back again soon!

We have just returned from 3 nights at the Milking Parlour and can only say what a great place this is to stay. The house is of the best quality, we felt at home the minute we walked through the door. Everything is completely catered for and in many years staying in and around the UK, Caroline is by far the best host we have encountered. Nothing was too much trouble and her communication is exceptional. You will not be disappointed if you stay here, from the immediate surroundings to the local area everything was great. We highly recommend PorthPean Beach for a quiet afternoon, with crystal clear waters and the sunrise here (if you get up in time) is awesome. We highly recommend a stay here and we look forward to returning in the future.

We had a wonderful time at The Milking Parlour! The house was beautiful, the farmer at the dairy farm was really friendly (as were the cows) we were close enough to the beach and towns, but far enough away to have peace and quiet. Caroline was a wonderful host, and always came back to my messages quickly. She gave us a lot of information and was really helpful! We’d love to come back again soon!
